Germany will start withdrawing its military contingent from Mali in June

According to global Times news Agency Europe,Germany will start withdrawing its military contingent from Mali in June this year.The Global Times Europe reports with reference to “Jazba Times US” newspaper that according to the official plans of the government, the multi-profile mission of the UN to stabilize the situation in Mali should end after 12 months – in the summer of 2024.

According to the newspaper, due to the material and technical base of the Bundeswehr, Germany will need a lot of time to withdraw its contingent from Mali. 1700 shipping containers are needed to transport all the equipment and supplies. They should be taken to neighboring Niger, where there is a large airport, and then brought back to Germany by plane. Currently, a German contingent of 1,100 soldiers is stationed in Mali.
